    Debt-free and Proud!
Woo hoo - bonus day today. £1,000 towards this debt and £200 just for me :) I don't think I'd have made it without this.

Good luck everyone else - every little bit counts.

    Debt Free...yay! 10/09/2013 :j

  • sorted out tax credits the other day and got a payment in today for underpayment so have managed to pay another £70 off today meaning i now stand at £525/£700 and 75% paid off. i wasn't very hopeful about completing my goal after hubby got paid off but i did a proper budget that i have been sticking to and luckily had some enexpected money coming in which normally we would have spent on silly stuff but i have paid it all out on the day it came in so i wasn't tempted, a short bit to go and i am now hopeful of hitting my target :j
    DEBT
    31/12/2018 = £21,740.10 - 31/12/2019 = £18,581.29 (14.53% PD)
    31/01/2020 - £18,685.22 (14.05% PD)

I have been struggling a little of late and need a good kick in the debt-free direction. Have just checked and my payment has cleared...

    £1326 still to pay

I will have a look at making additional payments when I have worked out my budget for the month.
Debt now £48,000 in the form of a mortgage :o

After all that good progress early on, I have not even managed to get half way there and the clock is ticking. :o (see signature)

I think I will look to get below £1000 before my July payday and see if I can get down to £750/£800 by the end of the challenge. (August 3rd)

Amara, am I the first to fail?

Noone fails, this thread is to help us to reduce our debt, even if you dont clear it. Uve done really well to reduce it by that amount so far and that is an achievement to be proud off, would u have reduced it that much without this challenge. NOONE FAILS, they just try their best. :)

    Well said mandz1.

Well done on what you have paid so far cassidy0111. I probably wont reach my target either, but wouldn't have paid off as much without it. We are all a success.
