Castle Galleries - Is haggling acceptable??

Hi
Have seen a couple of prints by a new artist in my local Castle Galleries and just wondered whether anyone knows if it's acceptable to haggle on price. They're over £200 per framed print and I want 2.
Some people say it's acceptable to haggle over everything and if you don't ask you don't get.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, D

Ask if they give a discount if you buy more than one?Val.0

If they are by someone local it might be better to try to negotiate with them directly. Overall though I dont see why anyone shouldnt offer a lower price wherever they are, you might get rebuffed but many places are struggling to make any money so could be willing to compromise to get the sale.0

For anyone that's interested...
We went into the shop, looked at the 2 prints we liked for a minute. Sales guy came over and chatted for a minute or two. We said we liked them both and he immediately said he could probably do us a deal. Within 20 seconds he came over and said they should be £470 but he can round it down to £400. I could've tried to haggle but was happy at that so took them. Was in the shop about 5 minutes all in all.0 -
Ask if they'll do you a BOGOF.0

I always haggle ! Honed my skills in nearly every country in the Med and North Africa plus mainland Europe . Most countries they just smile at gullible Brits when they do not haggle. In Europe it is a way of life and part of the fun of shopping .0
