defaults?

do they stay on ur record for 6yrs like a CCJ?

another question. can you get the defualt removed if a bank has put it on if u refused to clear ur negitive balance due to it being all bank charges.

I am in process of claiming all bank chagres back .

  • Virtually all information especially the bad stuff apart from searches stays on you account for 6 years

    If the default is caused by the bank charges which are later claimed back as unlawful due to being too high then i don't see why you can't ask the bank to remove it from your record, especially if you do settle the balance after the charges are reclaimed although they might just take the balance of what they pay you back anyway.

    Bit of a sticky question that.
