Want to make a 'day you were born' poster

Hi

I have in the past bought a day you were born poster and framed them for christmas/birth gifts, but buying them ready done with the info is costing me about £15. I thought I could make them myself.

I have looked on google etc but cannot find any sites that have the relevant info, eg what was no 1 in the music charts, what was must see movie. Price of certain essential items , bread etc, what was headline news.

Can anyone help please?

Your local library should have newspaper archives which you can access either in the library or from home. Don't forget to look at newspapers dated the day AFTER the birthday, for events which happened ON the birthday. This should also be a source for prices of goods as well (eg in the ads).
