Hi,
I did not mean to stress you out...
Basically I wrote separate as have o/d and credit card. They agreed to pro rata payment on o/d and will stop interest once I send all cards and cheque book back. CC sent very threatening letter, and still undecided what action to take as when I did a search it seemed all negative. I think you need to write to each one individually as all separate entities I believe. They all use different addresses.
You may have more luck as having read loads of post, one thing creditors do not seem to offer is consistency. Some people get acceptance whilse others get refusals. I would send SOA just so it shows you cannot pay.
Good luck, let us know how you get on0 -
I've had depression for a long time and some people wouldn't even know it as I come across bubbly and silly and make people laugh. But I do have a sensitive side and I get very down at times. Things have been made worse since my lovely mum passed away in Sept 2009 and I'm struggling to come to terms with it. Somedays I just think stuff it to the banks, they can't take what I don't have, but then I have days of worry and stress.
Another company which were very helpful to me were Pay plan, they are a debt charity and don't cost anything to use them.
If you log onto https://www.payplan.com they have afreephone number and they are very kind and genuine people. They don't put you under any pressure whatsoever. I don't like telephone calls nowadays to be honest, especially when they are ringing you for money. But payplan just ask your incomings and outgoings and send you lots of things to read like the template letters and then help you contact your creditors. Once you are onboard with them, then you don't need to deal with anyone else. They can negotitate with the banks to maybe freeze the interest on loans, credit cards etc.
If still you get the phone calls from the creditors, then you just tell them pay plan are dealing with your debt payments now and refuse to speak about anything else.
They also have a letter to send to them which can be sent out if your are getting lots of calls in a day, they have it all worded properly and you just add your accounts numbers etc into it. So theres not much to type out yourself. Hopefully these letters will stop the harrassment of the phone calls and eventually die down.
Hope you feel a little bit better now.xx0 -

They come across as all caring on their website :mad:0 -

Thank you so much, you made me cry with relief! Like you, I don't want to run away from my debts, and I certainly don't wish to ever get into trouble again. I was brought up to be sensible with money, so my parents don't know about this which means I have no one to talk to about it, which makes the stress so much more unbearable.
I wish wholeheartedly that I could reverse the clock, but hey, hindsight is 20/20 lol. It's the living month to month that really hurts I guess. Having very little and always worrying about being unable to make my payments on time gives me sleepless nights. Anyways thank you again for your kind words and all the help. I will see this thru.

No worries Jules. I'm just a big ol' bag-o-nerves. I'll definitely let you know how I get on, and I'll also send separate letters. Thanks very much for replying, you don't know how much it's appreciated right now

Aw, I didn't mean to make you cry. I do plenty of that myself nowadays
But I know what you mean. Even just coming on here helps, you can write it all down and when I see some peoples debts, it makes mine look manageable.
I will private message my email address if you ever want to chat privately.
I'm off to bed now as my feet are killing me. I've just had 3 days of agency work this week and standing up kills my feet. They get all puffed up and painful.
But I can't complain, at least it is helping a little towards the bills.

Hope I did that right... I also have an Overdraft of £5550 but I don't have a repayment scheme on that. I'm currently trying to lower my mobile phone payment with o2... we'll see how that goes. What do you think? xMoney is an excellent servant, but a horrible master.0
