Closemotor finance i've never seen my credit agreement is this right???
Hi there,
Back in 2008 I brought a car on finance for 5 years. Recently i've been trying to get my debts etc into order....so I went to dig out all my information on this however when I looked at the paperwork it literally was just a sales invoice with the amount the car was worth and my deposit (which actually was wrong it was £300 not £100 that I paid).
So i've never seen a breakdown of what i'm paying for how much the credit is worth and what APR and the terms... If i'm paying anything back at the end after reading other forums on this i've noticed people have been told they have to pay at the end!!! however I wasn't told this.
Does anyone know is this sounds right to them...Should I have been given this credit agreement or had it sent to me and should I have been receiving anything every year or something to tell me how much I have left.
I only knew who this agreement was with by checking my Direct Debit online and seeing who it went to each month.
Can anyone advise me if this sounds odd to them or normal practice. How would I go about getting this information from them and should they have given it to me before now?
Thank you
Maz

Request a copy of your credit agreement which will have all of that information. If they cannot find an original copy, they are allowed to reconsitute the agreement, which means entering the information, and leaving our signature off. But it does allow you to see the information you require.Best Regards

You need to do a formal request in writing (and enclose a £1 fee) - example template here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11636295&postcount=5A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
