Do you have flatmates? A girlfriend/boyfriend? Friends? You must know someone you could lure round for a meal after which they could quickly sort your hair out.
Push came to shove, I could get someone to do it. What I meant was that I haven't got anyone decent to do it. I wouldn't mind using the clippers if I was shaving my head but I need to be presentable in a client services role.

I wouldn't worry about it overly although I would say that you could shave your head and still look perfectly presentable - I have friends who have done so and I think they look fine in a work environment.
Since we're talking about clippers, I assume you're male. Speaking as a woman who has shaved her head, you're at an advantage - it's harder for a woman to considered to look OK in the workplace with no hair.
