Superbad credit Rating

HI,
I am after some advise, i have checked my experian credit file this morning and my credit score is only 20 yes 2....0.
I know the main reason is due to my bankruptcy as i am only 8 months since discharge.
I dont have a huge amount to clean up except a British gas that has appeared there in the last 2 months.
I am on the electrol register, but some how i have 44 searchs which i know wont be helping and 68 linked addresses and i am also linked to my deceased wife.
What is the normal credit score for someone who is discharged BR? i know its a slow climb but i am aiming for a perfect/ Nr perfect once my BR comes off.
Any help would be grateful. Yes i know about the credit card take one out pay it all off etc, but my credit score is too low for that method :rotfl:
Thanks again

I think you need to carefully go through the linked addresses to check they are all relevant, I'm sure you haven't had 68 homes in the last 6 years!

You may be able to dissasociate from your deceased wife due to her status, I'm not sure though so might be worth checking with the credit agencies if that can be done.

That's a lot of searches on your file, unless you had in excess of 20 separate debts when you went BR. Again, check through them to make sure they are each valid, some may be as a result of the linked addresses.

Duplication of linked addresses is common and is not a problem. Just make sure none are listed that shouldn't be.

Check to make sure any debts that were included in your bankruptcy and that are listed separately on your credit report are now marked as satisfied. Also that your bankruptcy is marked as discharged. The bankruptcy will still drag your score right down but this will improve in time.
