Do lenders carry out a 2nd credit check?

Options
Hi All,

I've had my formal mortgage offer from Principality and hope to exchange and complete in the next two weeks. Unfortunately I've just received a late payment note on my credit record for £4 (which I'm disputing as I don't believe it is correct). I'm worried that Principality will do a final credit check when I ask for the money, do lenders usually do a final check just before completion?

Thanks
Chris

I don't believe Principality does a further check. If you make a change to the mortgage, some lenders might require a re-check.
