    Hi mikem425,

I'll be on the same rate as you on 01.05.11. :)

After I had some input from the usual helpful posters on here (some of whom you've heard from already) I've decided to stay on the reversion rate .95% above BBBR. I am really hoping to sort out some other debt first and then the mortgage.

Wish I'd found this site years ago. Might have jacked in the fixed rate I was on then.

Live and learn, live and learn.

What's really just hit my right between the eyes is that I joined the forum in 2008 but didn't bother researching any further.

We also have a tracker mortgage, one that we are never likely to change now.
full details in signature below, we are overpaying to clear our debt asap and we are still paying at around 6% mark, that way when interest rates do start to creep up they have a long way to go until they will affect us financially... hopefully we will be nearly paid up by then...
ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)
    NOV 2021 O/S AMOUNT £1,694.41 OUR DEBT REDUCED BY £104,759.59 by std regular, over-payments & off-setting.
BofE +0.19% Tracker Repayment Offset Mortgage Discounted Sept 07-10 then increased to BofE +0.62% until 2027
