Late credit card payment and mortgage

Hi there, i have posted on the credit card board and I was wondering if you could help me as well.

I have just realised that due to the bank holidays my credit card payment is going to be late should be paid by the 26th.

We are in the process of selling and buying another house - will this now affect our mortgage offer and credit rating? This is the first time that i have done this and unfortunately this will be my credit card bill and my husbands.

Any advice is most welcome negative or positive!

Ring the card firm up now / first thing in the morning and see if you can pay faster by debit card over the phone.

How have you made the payments?

Direct debit?
Bill payment online? (may have gone via BACS but perhaps Faster Payments)
Other method?

I think you'll be ok and the payment will be processed on time. But call to make sure.

(A late payment will significantly raise the likelihood of being declined for a mortgage)
