current buy to let mortgage want a new mortgage

Options
I currently have a buy to let mortgage. I wish to buy a new home with 85% LTV but do not want it to have any effect on the current buy to let mortgage i have. Is this possible or would they be linked.

Any new mortgage wont have any effect on your existing BTL at all. However your BTL may have an effect on your affordability calculation for you new mortgage with some lenders.

The mortgages will not be linked.

You will need to find lenders happy with the property in background - and happy with the rental coverage that exists.
