Capquest Again

Hi everyone. Some 3 years ago I made an agreement with Capquest to repay a debt. I have paid everything I owed but they are still harrassing me for money and are now asking for £1250 which they say I still owe. I have all the payments listed from my bank which were payable monthly for an agreed amount of time wich ended last month, but they are ignoring my evidence. They have now sent me another letter saying they are taking me to court. Can they do this and how would I go about sorting this out because I don't owe them anything anymore. After getting a bit more savvy I'm not sure I should have paid them anything to start with. I have never had any proof that they owned the debt originally.

Do you have details of the agreement in writing?
Could the £1,250 Capquest alleges you owe be interest and admin charges?
Many people assume interest and other charges will cease after they've come to an agreement with a debtor or DCA. Unfortunately that's not always the case. :eek:0 -
Hi Kitchenart, could you give us a few more details, such as what Crapquest said the debt was for and dates as to when allegedly taken out and last payment? Have you any paperwork from them dating from when you made your agreement with them.
I'm sure that I wont be the only one interested in what you have to say.
CrapQuest are well known in these parts. Lets see what we can do to help.

Then that's your defence if they do. Keep your paperwork.0 -

Crapquest chancers yet again  If you look around the net you will find lot's of instances where they try it on.
You should ask them to prove where these charges come from or you will take it to the FOS. They have been in trouble recently for threatening to use Charging orders. As you say you have paid them up so they can't take you to court for something you don't owe. They can't take a charge out on your house without going through court (and they'd have to get a CCJ first). From what you've said I don't think you have to worry about that.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?
