Red sky convoy maniacs!

Just came down castlereagh road to witness a large convoy of red sky vans driving through a red light at speed with no regard for other road users or pedestrians..crazy.. then there were about another 20 vans parked around the corner..any ideas what that's about?

Yes I was at the junction on Ladas drive turning onto the Castlereagh road and there must have been about 20 vans all driving towards the outer ring tooting their horns on the way! I see there is a protest at Stormont too now! That's prob were they were going.

Last week on at least 3 occasions i was trying to pull out of a side street onto a busy road, and on all f these occasions, the Red Sky men were the only drivers to let me out. So thank you Red Sky men!

Its sad they went into administration but that would have been the least of their concerns had they knocked someone down or caused an accident!! I did see them again beside connswater although the police were chaperoning them....

Mmmmmmmm - they are in the private sector actually. (Or were, until yesterday.)

I hope I'm never happy to see any working class guys lose their job in any ecconomnic climate, let alone the current one.

They had some dodgy working practices apparently... not surprised that their contract wasn't renewed.

I am confused. No jokes please.

They operate in NI and Scotland, so how many actually work for them in NI. Also why go into admin if its just NI job losses? Wonder what contracts they have in Scotland?

I do know someone who works for them and he is getting married in September.

Yes seems to be two worlds out there. In private sector, cutbacks mean being put on the dole and no pension. In the public sector cutbacks mean shaving a little off here and there and no more £50,000 payout's for early retirement.

All the work red sky carried out will still need to be done , only be another company. And i would say quite a lot of the current staff of red sky will just join that company , so what is all the drama about ?.
One companies downfall is another companies gain
