sorry - this isn't money saving but this is driving me and my man mad.
I reckon its paul weller and he says it rod stewart. I have searched and google and cannot find the answer.

Its neither but your man is almost right.
The theme is Handbags and Gladrags (which was originally done by Rod Stewart.) However it is the Sterophonics version of it that is used as the theme.

Hi Actually Chris Farlowe did the original version of Handbags & Gladrags. Released 1967.
Rod stewart version was on his first solo album An Old raincoat won't ever let you down. Released 1970.
