Special offers on BBQs

Hiya

Has anybody came across any good offers on new gas BBQs?

Would have liked a Billyoh but when pricing it on the internet was going to cost a fortune to get delivered to NI.

My mother just got one from Tesco Direct, was around £50 but she doubled up her clubcard points into vouchers and ended up paying about £12.

Benefit being you can pick it up from a local large Tesco store

Wait ti next weeks lidl deals, BBQ's will be on sale. Lidls goods usually have a 3 year warrenty and are very easy to get refunds if item breaks, unlike some of the other stores.

Lidls aren't easy to get refunds from. I brought something back to them and was told i had to phone a number to get a reference for the return. When i rang (from my mobile while still in the store) it went to voicemail. I asked Lidl to ring Customer Services and they refused. I had to go home, ring the number, get a returns reference, then return to the store again with the item and reference number.
Will never buy anything electrical, or non-food items from them again.

Was it within the guarantee? had you the receipt? if so, tell us what store it was from?......any store I've been to has always gave a full refund for faulty goods. Sounds like a personnel problem, not a policy one

Regardless of their returns policy I don't think Lidl are especially good value any more.

Recently my aunt in Dublin bought a sewing machine on offer for 99 Euro. The same sewing machine the same week was on sale in NI for £99.

If you check the Lidl Uk site you will see everything is way cheaper there. They add a hefty premium on for NI.

As I don't live in dublin I can't get that discount....however I have found their refund policy better than any of the other stores.

Yes, well within guarantee & receipt in hand, but still turned away.

I'll know not to buy from and Abbeycentre one. Ballymena, Coleraine and Ballymoney are sound for refunds;)
