Frozen Goose - get them quick

Hi all

Just thought I'd tell you that Aldi are doing geese - I'm assuming frozen, although it doesn't actually say, as one of their specials, from this Sunday. £11.99 - so even cheaper than Lidl. Given the Lidl ones "flew" out of the door (sorry for the awful pun

) then those of you who didn't bag one last time might be lucky now. They are also doing duck, lobsters, king prawns etc.

They were 9.99 for a 4.6kg at Aldi Coalville on Wednesday, plenty in stock in the freezer section under seasonal.

That's what I thought - don't feel too bad about paying an extra quid! Especially as I saw them in Morrisons for £22.

Lidl ones were 12.99, I got two and the first one was lovely. Last year I paid £40 for a fresh one in Sainsburys as aldi/lidl etc were sold out. No difference at all in taste so we will be having a frozen one this year.

I grabbed one from Lidl yesterday, there were only 2 left in the freezer. I also bought one of the lobsters. My local Lidl don't appear to be selling the ducks very quickly so I'm hoping there will still be one left when I go down to do the booze run next week.
