It certainly doesn't feel like I have £458 "spare" every month but it has been tough recently with court fees (getting divorced and sorting out contact with children) and the boiler has also just broken down too!
Thanks for any ideas!

Mortgage/rent?
What about benefits?0 -
No benefits, mortgage or rent.:A0
-
What about Child Benefit?0
-
My ex-wife gets that.:A0
-
SOA says 4 children in household, are they the ones with your ex-wife?0
-
No, my partner has 3 children who live with us most of the time, my 2 stay with me about a third of the time so I put it as being 4 children to avoid complication.:A0
-
HAve you not included your partners income/benefits in your SOA?0
-
No - I pay the bills and she pays the mortgage etc, we've no joint accounts as my credit rating would affect hers adversly if we did. So the SOA is just for me.:A0

Keep a detailed spending diary for a month & you will soon see where the cash is frittered away.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0
-
Ah, that makes sense now.
Tbh, it doesn't look that bad, so keeping a strict spending diary to check where the spare is going would seem necessary to me.0
