Credit report help.

Ok got my credit report, i had 5 accounts with Barclays back in 2005 and being young and stupid defaulted on them all!

All where taken over by Fairfax solicitors.

However on my credit report all the barclays defaults say "Settled"

Questons.
1 When will theses defaults drop off report?

2 Why are all the fairfax debts NOT on my file?

Thanks in advance.

    1. Six years from the initial default date.

    2. Fairfax (or whoever the are acting for) have probably not agreed to take over responsibility for updating the credit reference files.

Meaning that no new entry on your reports in their name would be created to replace the one from Barclays.

In those cases, the correct thing would be for Barclays to mark them as settled.

Keep an eye on your reports though to make sure nothing new is put on with a later default date.
