Wednesday 20 April - What small things will you do today???!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Good morning peeps  I truely hope that you are all happy & that good things happen for you all today - compliments let us know when you know about the job? I've got everything crossed for you x
Well up early as usual
payday for me  so I have been up shifting funds etc!
Today looks liek this (as well as working my socks off):
Have a lovely day guys x

Today looks liek this (as well as working my socks off):
- check banking and shift funds - can anyone advise me on ISAs? if I pay into my current one from last year does that mean I can't open another this year or can I use it until a better offer comes up?
- check for surveys
- lunch from stores - LO salad & tuna & mayo to use it up
, enough porridge to really fill me up!
- dinner from stores - probably gonna be some of us have one thing & some have another to make sure things get used!
- go for a run after work - I've signed up to do a 5k run in a couple of weeks!
- LO day - not NSD as I have a few top up bits from Aldi's
- check my tyre pressure as its a spending day
- washing on the line before work
- contact buyer re picking up old SC
- take some bags/boxes to CS
- look for campsite details to get away over BH
Have a lovely day guys x

[*]check my tyre pressure as its a spending dayDo you pay to check your tyres?
I have to say after reading about minimalism & being a "minsumer" (as opposed to a consumer) it has made NSDs so much easier! WHats this all about?

Morning everyone! Thanks DNMS for starting us off on this lovely sunny morning
I wonder how NTBY got on yesterday?
I'm off to work in a bit, but there's electricians working on the main circuit so power will be off at 1 o clock.... no one bothered to tell me it was going to be off yesterday all day either :mad: so had a mad panic to send the wages at half five :eek: just made it! (totally forgot about BH on Friday as usually I send on a Wednesday to go into bank on Friday but had to do it a day early!) Wonder whether I'll remember that next week as well??? :rotfl::rotfl:
Woke up this morning and found our front door WIDE open.... (live in a semi rural area and have 2 very scary looking dogs so never really bother to lock while we are in) Both dogs just looked at me as if to say "Please shut the door, we're cold in here can't you see?!!" :rotfl::rotfl: Useless creatures, I'm sure they'd welcome any burglar with open arms and many licks!
Just a small list for me today, did a load of washing yesterday afternoon and dried it on the line while enjoyed the sunshineso none left for me to do today.....
Checked internet banking
DS taking packed lunch to school club
OH taken sandwiches
heating has been off since yesterday morning
small amount of ironing
going to the market this afternoon as nothing to do at work
MUST put air in tyres, one is looking decidedly low
Debating whether to go to Morrisons and do a shop next week as they have the 6p off per litre..... surely must be :money:?? Car tax due too, must do today while its a spendy day
Anyway, sorry for all the waffling, must go and get ready to go to work, hope you all have a good day0 -
