my dh got me one last year ..its fab ..he had my mum looking for one for about 2 years ..lol !! she picked one up at a furnitute auction in the end !! it is realy handy with lots of compartments ! !! It resembles a fishing tackle box, opening up to reveal 3 layers, not overly attractive but very practicle.

I buy a lot of solid wood stuff and this is a very good person to buy off - he is a familiar face on the re-enactment circuit and I'm sure would be happy to talk to you about what you want. I think his stuff starts at £20 and goes up from there. IF you are feeling a bit flush, he does some beautiful indian rosewood boxes with iron hinges that have trays in them that start at £60
