i'm trying to find an art or craft type company that runs agents in a similar manner to betterware or avon, in other words with brochure distribution and agent commission.
By chance does anybody know of any company that does something like this? I'd be very grateful for any pointers in the right direction.
Thanks
Puds

its so frustrating!
I've already got over 100 potential customers lined up, cash burning a hole in their pockets, but i've nothing to sell them!
They cant access the internet so online stores are all out of the question, which leaves me with 2 options:
1)either produce my own catalogues (which bearing in mind that i would only want a few hundred would likely be an expensive option)
2)use an existing retailers catalogue and take an agent commission
The huge range of art and craft materials means that producing my own (20 page?) catalogues on a small scale of just a few hundred is probably out of the question.
Their lack of internet access really does mean i have a captive market but also that it has to be done on a catalogue basis with cash on delivery sort of thing.
I'm trying to think this through logically but my brain is going mushy!
any suggestions or comments or advice please?0 -
Have you tried asking on here http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/ they might have some ideas. I know there definitely is at least one rubber stamping catalogue/distributor thing going because I had a catalogue/ideas book from them, but it was some years ago now and I'm afraid I can't remember the name.
Best of luck.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Have you considered running a small business selling items direct instead?
The craft market is nowhere as large as it used to be and most of the auctions I vist have job lots of stuff for very little money. This month alone I've seen boxes of card making items (all new from a shop that closed down), boxes of rubber stamps, ribbons, material etc. Buy up mixed lots package them and put out weekly 'sheets' of what you have on a first come first served basis?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
