Hi
I'm looking to buy some Vogue casseroles and The Home Shop Catalogue seem to have the best price for them, but it's not a company I'm familiar with. Has anyone bought anything from them? Any good/bad experiences to share? Just want to be sure before I part with my hard earned cash!
TIA

Hi there, I've not bought anything from this place but to me it looks a bit dodgy.
The address given, if you look via Google Maps, is a charity second-hand furniture shop called U-Save. Although this may have closed down and reopened as this homeshopcatalogue place I can only find any reasonable internet reference to U-Save. And nothing mentions (that I can find) a charity shop closing, which is a favourite of local papers.
Due to the size of the shop, I doubt that they'd keep much of the stock in (apart from it costing many £100k's), instead they'd be a trade customer of a larger distributer - this in itself isn't wrong, and can reflect some great savings through little or no overheads. The downside is that the personnel will more than likely have little or no specialist knowledge in the majority of the stock they sell.
There are only two testimonials on the site, both written by the same person for two relatively inexpensive and similar items - an e-commerce site such as this cannot really rely on such testimonials as the can be written and put in by anyone. I know the same can be said for most other review sites, but I believe it's easier for a site like this.
I do hope this business in indeed genuine, but until I see some positive results from things like google shopping reviews or even a successful foray into ebay/amazon then they aren't getting my cash.0
