Hello everyone! After abit of advise please. I've been contacted by the "we can claim it group" saying that I could be in for some compensation because of a mortgage I had from Northern rock.

Now nothing's free in this world, people just don't give you cash with a smile of their face so I'm wondering if there's something in this...

I had a northern rock mortgage 5 years ago and got out of it just last year. It was sold to me by the Black and white mortgage brokers, who I know the FSA shut down. the We can group is saying I was missold the mortgage by black and white and as northern rock are sub-prime lenders I have a good shot of getting some cash.

So who do they get the cash from? black and white are gone and I have no idea about northern rock?

Wasting my time with this lot or some scam?

I know they want a 30% fee for getting any monies...

and they are probably talking about PPI , which you can claim yourself for free using the templates on this forum

That is about the weakest reason for a complaint that I have seen. Its up there with complaints about the colour of their logo.

Northern Rock was not a sub prime lender. It certainly issued higher risk mortgages but did it at prime or near prime rates. Not sub prime rates.
