Vehicle Breakdown cover whilst BR

Hi
I have been trying to arrange breakdown cover for my car over the last few days. I have had a few online quotes but when I read the t's and c's they all state that you must hold a valid credit card and the RAC say they are going to do a credit check even though I want to pay it all in one go.
Has anyone know any breakdown cover companies that do not have these requirements?
Many thanks in advance for your advice

I agree with Alistair, you'd probably have more luck adding breakdown cover to your car insurance.
Are you currently BR or discharged? When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Isn't the real problem here trying to buy something online without a credit card?
Perhaps the OP could get one of those cards which you top-up before making a purchase.0 -
I used Rescue My Car, the premium was only £38 and I got £7 cash back as I went through Quidco. Paid using my debit card with no problems at all.:pB&SC No. 298

Hi Guys, thanks so much for your replies.
I already have breakdown cover with my car insurance but I have used up the two allocated home start callouts for this year, so I thought I would take out another policy. I am currently BR.
I think Stuart30 is probably right, my background forces me to read t's and c's (sad I know). I think I will just try to buy a policy with my debit card and see what happens.
Thanks again

You"ll be fine with debit card...ive always just had it set as direct debit but debit card is also an option.
