I get that you are feeling isolated at the moment.

One option is to lean on the estate agent. They want the commission on the sale so let them work for it. Make it clear that finding a rental property is the key to getting you to agree to exchanging contracts. Either the estate agent will also have a rental department or they will have contacts in the business who do. Either way tell them your rental requirements and let them help you find somewhere. For the estate agent is the tail that wags the dog. Suddenly you move from being a difficult sale to a situation where they can be pro-active and do something constructive.

Is there a mortgage? Is it being paid? What is the lender's view? Is there a possibility that the lender will repossess soon?

Is there any equity in the property?

    hi silvercar,

i was about to do this until ORs lawyers pointed out if i dont comply with sale etc all costs associated will be met by me after house sale, which would have created another lovely pile of debt for me so my back is truly up against the wall,as much as iam dreading leaving my home i know my days are numbered now and at least i can somehow try and build another life for myself "somewhere else !"

    many thanks for your help.

    regards
    ooc.

Ooc. I don't have any constructive advice to give you unfortunately, other than it might have been ' easier ' to go for the repo, said laughingly - NOT.

I know how you've been feeling through this, and its not easy to think straight or logically in the face of adversity.

I hope you find the strength to dig deep, and do what has to be done.

My heart goes out to you and my thoughts are with you. Do feel free to pm.

    Love and hugs Nh xx
