Star-drops and my computer ?

Hi after reading in the forum about Star-drops I bought a bottle yesterday so today I have been tackling my Kitchen and I must say I am very impressed so far everything is gleaming which leads me to wondering if I could use it on my computer and keyboard I have a Mac computer so basically it's only the screen. Thanks in advance.

    Hi viv,

I haven't tried stardrops on the computer screen, but when I did a quick search I found this post on a previous thread of yours on cleaning computer screens that says it works well.

I'll add your thread to that one later once you've had more replies.

Using water to clean anything electrical is potentially bad. However, with care I've cleaned glass tube screens on computers and TVs with a cloth and a small quantity of record cleaner (apply to cloth first) - but there's a good chance that you have a flat screen now? These shouldn't be cleaned with many products, including water based ones and spray polishes as they can get in to the edges of the screen and damage it. They're also plastic rather than glass so chemicals like alcohol which are often found in cleaning products may make them cloudy. I'd just buy the specialist screen cleaner for these as it's too expensive to risk damaging.
