    What a load of wallies some of you are ... been reading more Daily Mail than is good for you. Do you not know that social security covers state pensions, child benefit, working tax credits. And do you not realise that much of it is paid for from NI contributions?
    So someone who worked for 40 years, paid tax and NI all those years then collects a state pension is a scrounger!
    Get things into perspective people.

    and what about the 2.5 MILLION on incapacity benefit (up from 700,000 in 1997). Where does the money for them come from?
