experian - credit rating footprint?

Options
hi all,

just wondering if anyone has any experience of experian - we are looking at different mortgages and would like to get an idea of our credit rating etc without going down the AIP route yet.

Will experian leave much of a mark on our credit rating? Will it give us anything to worry about when we do apply for a mortgage?

Not sure whether to go for the 30 day trial or the one off £2 statutory check?

Thanks

Personally I would go for the £2 one. The free trail can be difficult to cancel.

It won't affect a mortgage application but worth baring in mind almost everyone seems to get nice high scores, but this means next to nothing when it comes to getting a mortgage as lenders use thier own scoring systems.

GMS - thanks very much, but will it leave a footprint on our rating? Will this be anything to worry about - apologies but we're FTBs so don't know a great deal about it

It will show as 'own search' as far as I am aware but I am sure somebody with more knowledge than me will confirm.

1 search should not have too much impact on credit scoring, especially as it is not a credit application footprint
