  • Seeing as Fat Face, Truffle Shuffle and Schuh weren't options, I voted for Gap but would also be happy with New Look or (for nail varnish purposes) Topshop.

    Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")
    Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")

    You were spot on in your judgement about your choice of retailers, Lawrence, because JL, as a matter of convention, don't offer discount vouchers. They only have a tradition of offering few days/weeks promotional deals with a price match guarantee. I forgot that for a moment.

    I prefer department stores (HoF, John Lewis, IKEA etc) vouchers any time to speciality shops' (Gap, River Island, Figleaves) vouchers.
