Giant flour bugs?

First time posting on this particular board (hi all!
), but wondered if it would be a good place to ask for an ID on some bugs I just found in my flour (tipped into the cake mix, ewwww). I am used to getting occasional psocids in the flour as I don't always store it in airtight containers (added protein and all that I spose
). These though, were beetle type bugs, reddish/black and 3-4mm across!
I'm just worried incase they will have spread across to anything else (the flour is in the far corner of the kitchen around three metres from my store cupboard) as I really want to avoid having to throw anything out! Figured if I could find what they were, I could at least find out what they'd go for...
Edit: Ew ew ew! Just found out what they were - didn't think to search for weevils as I didn't think we could get them in the uk - that's just gross! Going to go and open any packets of biscuits and anything outside an airtight container now to see if I have to throw stuff out.
Yuk!

Hi rabidbun,
Welcome to Old Style.
I thought they might be weevils but as you've worked it out yourself I thankfully don't need to post images of them.
This thread has lots of advice that may help:
Creepy crawly things in flour!!!! & weevils & bugs (merged)
I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the replies together.

Thanks.
Still shuddering, not good with bugs in food!
