The inability to meet even minimum repayments on Credit Cards suggests that the situation is grave. So booking an appointment with the CAB may well be advisable. Another 5 months is a long time when the situation appears to have been dire for a time already.

Thank you everybody for advices. i am going to write to Santander and try again. All we need is temporary change so we could sort things out without building up new debt.
