Tuesday 19 April - What small things will you do today???!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
morning guys :wave:hope everyone is well on this lovely morning - well here in kent anyway  must be quick or late, so I choose quick!
NTB good luck today :grouphug:
have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning determined and everyone to follow.
Thank you for starting us off this morning, wow nice and early! Dry Shampoo - love the idea! Does it work!
Sun isnt out here yet, hoping it will come out to play today. :T
I think I have now got the hang of this so my list is:
- meals from stores must remember to get the chicken out in a min otherwise we wont be eating tonight.
- keep watching my ebay listing, need to list some more from my wonderful pile.
- Need to go to the shops but only need a couple of bits so will keep the spend under £10.
- need to get up in the loft to find some card which I have stashed up in there so I wont need to buy any.
Well thats it for now. Have a lovely day:j DMP started on 1st Oct 11 - 6 yrs 0 mths till DFD :jMay 2018 Debt free date - Mission to clear before!Depression is a challenge, Debt is a challenge and I have been given these challenges to be a stronger person. Thanks for your thoughts, DNMS. I'll definitely be back with tales of mild exoticism! Also thanks to ziggy, pernie, Rock cakes for your thoughts yesterday.
Had my last day at the office yesterday, which was really nice. A colleague gave me books for the journey, I got my new work laptop sorted and there were some really nice goodbyes. I got an ipod shuffle as a leaving gift (aww!) and a £15 itunes card which I need to use before leaving the country, so I need to sort that out today. There were some sniffles and hugs - I really will miss lots of the people there.
I fly at about 9pm, so lots to do between now and then!
Today:- Book cab as I forgot to yesterday
- pack seccond suitcase and cary on bag
- fold laundry
- wash sheets and hang to dry
- take out rubbish (must not forget to before I go!
- figure out itunes and use card
- do washing up and clean the flat so I dont leave it a tip
- frame photo for O
- sew buttons on to blazers
- file papers I brought back from the office
- do once over of house to make sure I havent forgotten anything
- maybe pop up to shops to get shoes as I didnt find any on Sunday
- have a last drinkie with my former boss who happens to be jetting off on holiday at the same time from the same terminal
- try not to forget my passport!!
Love to all of you! See you on the other side.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Good morning all,
Its rather misty here in Scotland this morning, which suits me fine because I don't enjoy being in the office 8-4 when the sun is shining!
Today I will:
Lunch from home
Free drinks at work
check Groupon
Sort budget for next month
Check banking (only got about £13 left till payday :O)
Phone gas people
Thats about it today. Nothing too exciting. Have a nice day everyone xxxxxx0 -
Morning everyone! Thanks DNMS for starting us off :T and good luck with everything NTBY, I wish you all the best on your new adventure :grouphug:
Sun is shining here this morning, has been since half 6 (probably before but that was when I got up!) Someone phoned my house phone at 0112 this morning :eek: needless to say I was not too happy and even less so when it was a withheld number :mad::mad:
Off to the jobcentre today to take one of my workers for a national insurance number (EU national, never worked here before...) so that'll be interestingmay just have to go over to the shopping centre for a "quick" look in Primarni.......
Anyway short list for me today:
need to drop DS off with Aunty (free childcare)
all meals from stores
quick shower (well as quick as I can while combing knots out of 2ft long curly hair !)
rubbish is out
check internet banking
drive conservatively
I hope everyone has a great dayand sees at least some of the sun!!

Morning all!!!
I am at my mums this morning looking after my young bro and sis while she works. Keeps my two occupied! Got here at 7 am and she gets home about 3. Will turn the laptop off in a min to start on my project for my AAT course. 3000-4000 words on fraud! mmmmm excited i think not!
Gorgeous sunny day here - i have my pedal pushers, vest and flipflops out
Today
Plan Project in detail
Maybe start typing it up tonight
Read a bit more Harry Potter
Update 101 list that i have completed - Find out my blood type
Lunch at mums - free lunch for the kids but i have bought round soup for myself - though may use one of the eggs here to hard boil as a snack
Dinner from stores - not sure what yet!
Tidy the house
Plan DD1's homework
Get some of the kids reading done
Email couple of people about hen night details

Plan lunch for tomorrow
I am trying to reduce my carbs as in minimal bread, potatoes and pasta! It is soooo hard. I am allowing porridge in the morning but trying not to have anything high in carbs after that! Dinner isnt too bad as we are just having a lot more veg. Snacks and lunch are the hardest. Trying to have a lot of fruit but lunches have to plan in advance. Today i have tomato soup but sometimes we cook chicken breasts the night before to eat for lunch! Boiled egg for snack today!
I hope everyone has a great day
