Northern Rock Address

Hi,
Does anybody have the address for Northern Rock, so we can send back the keys for VR. My partner rang anonomously but they just said that they need to read a script, send out a form to sign and then a locksmith would be round in 48 hours. They also said that if we just sent the keys then it would not be dealt with. I understand its just talk.
Would i send it to the normal address or the address where the debt management letter arrives from? And who shall i mark if for the attention of?
Thanks in advance for your help, youve all been great in helping us get to this stage.

Is there a branch you can go into, put the keys and your VR letter in a sealed envelope addressed to the Manager and hand it over. At least that way you know it's safe and saves you Registered Post cost! When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

There are no branches round here unfortunately. Im half expecting them to mess about when theyve got the keys but i at least wanted to send it to the right person/place.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi There,
I am sure you've looked into it but wanted to make sure you know about not signing the form? We wanted to do this but in order to VR you have to sign a form called a Deed of Acknowledgement which basically makes you liable for the shortfall once they sell it. Depends if you are going BR or not? They wouldnt accept our VR without this form being signed, so here we are nearly 7 months later and they have only just got the possession order from the court. All advice on here and from CCCS is not to sign this form under any circumstances.
If you need anymore info on this drop me a line.0 -
Others have got round this by writing a VR letter, there's an example somewhere on the forum, hopefully another member will pop it up for you, and sending that with the keys by Registered Mail - the only guaranteed delivery, Recorded Delivery isn't safe enough.
As you are unable to get to a branch, have a look at your mortgage paperwork, surely there's an address on there? When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Thanks. Im aware of the form, they want us to sign that but im not prepared to, even though we are going bankrupt in the nxt couple of weeks.
Ive got 2 addresses for them, hence the confusion. I guess i would send it to where the debt management letters come from, but im not sure whose attention to mark it for? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
You could try Googling the postcode with 'manager' alongside it, just in case something comes up. Once in a while company management structures miraculously appear on the web with names, lol. Otherwise, just address it to The Manager, xxx Department.
DO make sure you send it Registered Post though and check and print off details of when it was received and signed for. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

I would send it by Special Delivery, that is the only guaranteed delivery method.:pB&SC No. 298
