I've listed some books on GreenMetropolis.com but can't fathom out if it's worth listing hard-backed books.
I've been told there's a buyer for a couple of paperbacks I listed, which at £3 a throw isn't bad, but maybe I should take any hard-backed books off the listing?
Thanks in advance

Only if someone wants them franky
It's just the postage part I can't understand. I suppose it's a good way to try and get rid of a few paperbooks for £3 minus p+p
Good if you buy a lot I'd imagine too.

Thinking about it I think I'll have a look again.
As I say, the postage threw me a bit, so I'll see what happens if I buy one (not that I'm about to lol).
Seems to me that £2 and a bit might not be bad if the book sells, but I'm still wondering how if it's a blanket price of £3 per book, (which I think it might be), a profit can be made when the postage is dearer than the book. If that makes sense0 -
I haven't a clue what you are talking about Sofa

Have you checked the site out edinburghlass? It's not bad tbh, but the postage is confusing.
Bit like me0 -
No Sofa, you confused me enough without actually looking at the site :rolleyes:0

I knew I was here for a reason
Check it out sometime. It's good - just not good for hard-backed books.
I think!0 -
Ive sold several items through Green Metropolis in the past. You get £3 for all paperbacks that you sell, regardless of how much it costs you to post them. Obviously it is therefore up to the individual to determine roughly how much the postage is likely to be. Second Class post can increase your profit margin.
You get a fixed £5 for selling a hardback book, but these cost a lot more to post. I suppose it really depends on how much you want rid of the items. I still have about 30 books listed on GM, but haven't sold one for a couple of months.
Hope this helps

Thanks Ali
I thought the postage for some of the books was a bit high for the buyer so I relisted a couple. I can't see people buying the hardbacks - but I'll have to wait and see, and at least I feel like I'm getting on the recycling cycle.
Thanks again.0 -
Hi there,
I recently bought a couple of paperbacks from GreenMetropolis and thought they were excellent - not only cheap but free delivery too! A good way to keep books circulating.0
