Help Needed!!!!

I am losing my mind with worry here.

I have taken out a loan with Wonga(I know, I know) and am now struggling to pay it back. It all spiralled out of control and I kept getting new loan after new loan in order to pay essential bills.

Now I don't know what to do. I thought about getting a small loan in order to pay Wonga back and be able to afford the repayments but I have poor credit and don't have any family who could act as a guarantor.

Is there any companys out there who could provide a loan and let me get this sorted out? Or would Wonga be willing to set up a payment plan?

    2 Suggestions:
    1) try a local credit union as they are sometimes able to help people out of the payday loan trap.
    2) get a new bank account and get your wages put in there, wait for Wonga to rinse your old bank account and then set-up a payment plan with your old bank account. I am concerned that Wonga may not set up a payment plan with you and rinse your bank account leaving you unable to pay bills like rent etc. Some payday loan companies will do this - I'm not sure on Wonga but I wouldn't want to to take the chance myself.

  • Hi dgrant88 I was in the same situation as you with wonga. i left my bank account with no money in it so when they tried to take the payment they couldnt after this I called them and set up a repayment plan, they split my debt into four monthly payments and I am not charged the interest. I have one more payment to make to them and have had no problems they have only ever taken the agreed amount even though there was more than this in my bank account.
    Hope this helps, good luck
  • Same boat im afraid, dont pay anything into my old account now so they are stuck.....called them asked them to provide a copy of the agreement i have with them, 6 WEEKS ON and nothing. Often these online loan companies cannot provide a copy of the agreement, therefore as far as i am concerned we do not have an agreement.

meaning you have no intention of paying back money you borrowed?
  • I conditionally accept the debt, the condition being they provide a copy of the agreement i ''signed'', Why?
