Urgent help needed please! Can you find out your NI no online?

Does anyone know if it's possible to find out your NI no online and if so how to do it?

I need this help for a visiting friend who needs it for a form and if we can't get it online then it's a 5-6 hour round trip to get it from his house!!
You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an
"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs :p :rotfl:

I don't think you can get it online, but I'm thinking it might be worth him going to the Jobcentre local to you tomorrow. If he takes along enough proofs of identity, preferably with photo i.d. such as a photo driving licence, it's possible they might tell him what it is. Oh, and if he takes the form too to prove why he needs it!
  • I can't see anyway of accessing a NI online as it is protected by Data Laws.

How about ringing a parent, ringing payroll of work if they know your freind well enough to give over phone or as Fleago says, local jobcentre taking his passport etc. Also, his bank will hold the info so he may be able to pop into branch with ID.
    Integrity is a dying art!:p

It isn't possible to find a NI online nor is it possible to be told it over the phone. If you get any benefits paid into a bank account then the ref no. will be your NI number often.
