Any info on this firm etc the friend I am helping has had a letter of these guys today for a debt which is over ten years old no CJ had one of them last year also any suggestions on what to do?

If it's statute barred, then send the statute barred letter.

Well he said the last time he spoke with them was 13 years ago the debt was a loan from welcome finance .It says on the letter amount to DL&C formaly welcome finance?

I presume that this attempt to collect an obviously statute barred debt - by means of the usual threats - will be from DLC's "Direct" department.

Does their "Legal" department still exist? :rotfl:
