Best way to raise 25k

I need to raise 25000GBP (or 50000USD) quickly, and at as little cost as possible.
What ways can this be achieved?

I am a homeowner with no other debt.

How quickly and ho long do you need it?
If you need it very quickly then probably a loan but that will be expensive - maybe do that short term and convert.
A mortgage would be a lot cheaper but will take some time to set up.
Cheapest might be credit cards but that might be a problem if you wanted it long term - would take about a month. Probably faster than a mortgage but maybe not and you won't know quickly how much you can raise.
