Hi,
Has anyone had any experience with a company called 62days dot com who give you a valuation for your item(s) over the internet via a photo that you send them, then give you a quote, send thier courier to pick up the item, and then, provided the item is as claimed, pay you the agreed amount directly into your bank account?
They seem to be fairly new but have operated for a while in Europe. It seemed a better bet than somewhere like a pawn shop or cash converters and the like, but I had a couple of warning bells ring when on their site I saw that they don't have a physical address prominently displayed and don't offer a way to physically bring the goods into them instead of using their courier.
They also ask for an IBAN (international bank account number ) number for the bank account you want to receive the funds into. The other option is Paypal, but keeping in mind you are receiving rather than remitting funds, it seemed to me that they could just as easily ask for all their money back from Paypal, in which case they would have the goods and your money.
Plus in their T & Cs they stipulate that fragile items should be sent in wooden boxes/crates. It seemed a bit odd. Any Ebayers out there who send their fragile items like this?

We sold a necklace. Smooth procedure and really professional service. I liked the fact that I didn't even need to pay for the shipment. Got more than I expected straight to my Paypal account. I wish we had more items to sell.0

Hi dktreesea,
I recently used 62days.com for the first time and was really impressed with the service.
I put on a watch and they gave me a really good quote. They picked it up for free as well, transferred the money straight away and and when I repaid them after 4 weeks and wanted my watch back they sent it to me again for free.
I can only recommend the site as my experience was excellent.
Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will try to help you.

Hey Vickysheep,
I have to agree with you.
I tried their service before Christmas and I have to say, I was really impressed how easy and quick it all went.
Of course I was concerned beforehand and I spend quite a while on the hotline to get them to answer all the questions I had (thank God the service number REALLY turned out to be free, as I had never heard of a 00800 number before). But the girl there was really helpful and explained everything in great detail.
Got the money for my necklace within the promised time, which thankfully left me in the position to do my Christmas shopping.
And after things calmed down end of January, I bought my necklace back, without having to pay any interest or even to pay for delivery.
Absolutely great.
Recommended 62days.com to some of my friends as well, and so far heard nothing negative from them either.0 -

but most people are not cynical enough!0 -
I thought it odd that the only posts from people praising 62day were from newbies, so I accidentally hit the Spam button.Never Knowingly Understood.
