My mum wants to buy my brother the cheapest possible PSP it doesnt have to have games just the console.
I did a search but it doesnt come up with anything cos PSP is too short and I could only see the amazon deal for #170 which is way too much.
Please can soemone help? Looking for around the #100 mark for a basic one.
Mum doesnt want to use ebay for return issues.

the cheapest i have seen is the base pack at argos £149.99 and if you go before saturday you get a £10 voucher but this is only a base pack which has no memory card the value pack goes about £179.99
GAME online does the base pack plus free game £149.99 but instore is £159.99 i rang up today and asked about the deals online and that is what she told me but she also said you get more of a choice with the game instore
Ebay has got the best deals but im worried to go down that route as well just in case its not like they stated
the only other option is to try and find money off codes for shops online
sorry i cant help you any more but im looking for a white psp for my son and they are roughly the same price everywhere0 -

Would your mum consider getting it from Ebay?
I got my daughter's from ebay for £100. It came with 2 games and 2 movies. The guy was selling it because he had got it free with a mobile phone, played a couple of times then got fed up with it.
She has had no problems with it at all.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, I said that to her, but she is worried about using ebay, you know what people are like, they get put off it as they dont use it and dont understand it very well. She thinks its too risky for this sort of money....personally I would but its not my money!
Shame, I recon if I could find it for #130 ish she would go for it.Lightbulb moment 27-11-06

She is right to be careful about Ebay. With second hand consoles its not just the purchasing that you have to worry about - its also things like the screen not being scratched and the buttons working and not getting jammed etc.
People's definition of not having used a console much could mean anything. I don't buy second hand console joypads for this reason.
If you were to get a second hand PSP on Ebay, certainly you would not want to pay anywhere near £130. For new, you'd want it to be a power seller that sells lots of consoles and games.

£129.99 Play.com for the base set. I'm searching also and this is the cheapest I can find0

I just thought - Stores like Game and Gamestation often have pre-owned consoles cheap. It could be worth going to your local store and asking. If they don't have one they maybe able to get one in from another store.
Its always worth a try at least you know that it has been checked and it has a small warantee.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
