Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 17th April 2011

Hello everyone . Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. The challenge runs from Sunday to Friday so we don't include Saturdays but feel free to change the rules to suit you and include Saturdays or start on a different day.
Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:
Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.

I was green last week as I still have £10 left in my purse. Still more than a week left until payday and there is a bank holiday in between
I have gig tickets on Tuesday night and a friend coming to visit from tomorrow for about a week so will probably be spending a bit more than usual so going for £80 this week.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine and what is left of the weekend.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Morning all
I have been rubbish with a captial R this week as I have not kept up with the thread at all. I am also red this week:o I went to see Paul Rogers in concert on Tuesday night so went out for dinner then got persuaded to go out for dinner and drinks last night to start the bank holiday with a bang. Oh well could have been much worse.
I am working on Monday so will be back on the wagon from Sunday especially considering payday is Tuesday but money went in today :j:j
Enjoy your weekend, I hope you get some sunshine, mine appears to be missing

Hi Pointy and everyone else. It's green for me this week. Spent £20.59, so £9.41 under budget. At least it sounds like you had a good time Pointy, so the spend was worth it.
I'll be back tomorrow with next weeks pledge.

We have had a good week, mainly spent enjoying the weather, sometimes just playing and other times gardening, quite hard work when a 2 year old is helping, but as she gets older she will be less of a hindrance. This week I was purple I had considered buying us ice creams for a treat but Grandpa treated us when we went to visit.
