Bought three things in poundland, tendered £3, but receipt was for 2 items, £3 tendered, £1 change (which went in till operator's pocket). How long till they catch him?

you paid £3 and walked out with 3 items... the cashier correctly gave you no change. If he had, then you would have taken one item without payment and been laible to arrest once outside the store.

True enough from the customers point of view, but if the receipt only shows two items paid for, then Poundland are still missing £1. When everything's £1, it's very easy to just not put something through and keep £1 for yourself. Do that a few times an hour and you could easily double your pay.

And had you been stopped on your way out, you would only have a receipt for 2 of the 3 items from the shop - could lead to problems!

Went back in poundland today, saw they are selling 'Number plate flash reflector', labelled with a 'warning' for those too thick to work out what it's designed for 'Off-road use only, may interfere with speed cameras!'

Not really sensible product for a big company like poundland to be selling, so as far as I am concerned the staff can steal as much as they like, as evidently poundland deserves the staff it gets.
