Bought three things in poundland, tendered £3, but receipt was for 2 items, £3 tendered, £1 change (which went in till operator's pocket). How long till they catch him?
you paid £3 and walked out with 3 items... the cashier correctly gave you no change. If he had, then you would have taken one item without payment and been laible to arrest once outside the store.0 -

True enough from the customers point of view, but if the receipt only shows two items paid for, then Poundland are still missing £1. When everything's £1, it's very easy to just not put something through and keep £1 for yourself. Do that a few times an hour and you could easily double your pay.0 -
And had you been stopped on your way out, you would only have a receipt for 2 of the 3 items from the shop - could lead to problems!0

Went back in poundland today, saw they are selling 'Number plate flash reflector', labelled with a 'warning' for those too thick to work out what it's designed for 'Off-road use only, may interfere with speed cameras!'
Not really sensible product for a big company like poundland to be selling, so as far as I am concerned the staff can steal as much as they like, as evidently poundland deserves the staff it gets.0
