Does anyone have any knowledge of Wescott debt agency?

Hi All,

I just received a letter from these people saying they have been instructed by RBS to recover £190.

I've never been a customer with RBS.

It seems dodgily worked too, as the letter was sent to my old address (fair enough) but states

' If you do not contact us to confirm you are this person, we will presume our records are correct and pursue further'

Errm, so if I don't live there or receive the letter, I'm being persecuted for this?

Im adamant I've never been an RBS customer.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this company?

    they are a legit company.

Are you sure you dont have any products for example overdrafts etc with barclays or anyone else associated with rbs.

They have worded it in this way because either 1- they have made an error or 2- You have recently moved and your address has come up on a credit referencing agency because you have applied for credit etc and they have caught up with you

    Royal Bank of Toyland?

Had it been a genuine debt owed to the RBS, they'd have first dealt with it through their own, in-house pseudo-agency, Triton Credit Services.

It turns out its a natwest I thought I'd paid. Going to pay them in instalments. No idea why the letter said RBS.
    Thanks your help
