Crochet?

Hi
Sorry if this is the wrong board for this type of thing. Please move if need be.
My son has had a crocheted blankie which he has loved since he was born. It's now in tatters and I want to get him a replacement.
Does anyone know where I can get a new blankie crocheted? I need it done in certain colours (he's autistic and is very particular about details!). Any website? Any person who crochets who might be able to help?? Obviously, I'd be willing to pay.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks for reading. x

Hi Absolutely - both my sons had blankies when they were little so I know how important they are! If you don't know anyone personally who crochets, do you have a local wool shop? If so, you could ask in there if they know anyone who would make your blanket for you. Failing that, there are lots of online tutorials (just google 'crochet tutorial) so that you could learn and make a blanket for your son. He could even help you to choose the colours which would make it even more special to him! Crochet seems difficult to master at first but, all of a sudden, it all clicks into place and it really is very easy. It's a lot quicker than knitting, too.
Hope this helps.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

You could try searching on gumtree for someoneTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0

You could try your local knit and natter group (the ones round here seem to be in church halls)0
