Tesco glich....Free 1000 points

Just been down to Tescos but lady scanned mine and is just showing on the receipt as 'COMPETITON ENTERED'. So they may have corrected it - well done to those who got them - I went to Tescos yesterday and forgot to take my vouchers with me :mad:

I got mine through the post today.

Was wondering whether it's possible to see from the voucher barcode whether it's a 1000 pointer or a competition entry? AFAIK, extra points voucher barcodes work the same way as money-off voucher barcodes, i.e. 3 numbers before last will indicate how much is taken off (e.g. if barcode ends in 0507, it will take £0.50 off, or if it's extra points, should add 50 points on).

Vouchers for just competition entries usually end in 000X, as they have no value.

In my experience, vouchers for £10 off end in 999X (where X is just any number). This points voucher ends in 999X, so I'm hoping it means I'll be getting 1000 freebie points as well

Just worked for me at 12:50 today. I suppose we all could be part of the lucky 100! But I think either there are alot more than 100 winners as pretty much everyone is getting the points. I also used the Kandoo 100 point voucher, 1100 points or £44 or deals for a couple of quid spent!!!!

Was reading this thread when the post came this morning..with it was my mailing so I went to Tescos with it straight away and it worked!!!! They can't take these points away surely!??

Mine arrived this morning. I was so glad because I recycled a mag from tesco last week and thought that it was in with that.
Anyway been to Tesco and it scanned. :T
Many thanks to OP for heads up I'd have probably left it a while otherwise and missed out.

i have just been back to tesco with my second voucher but it did not work this time, it just said competition entered.
