Well the guy reckoned they had inadvertantly put in the wrong inverter - they had put a SB3000 instead of a SB3300 which was on their original spec sheet. I'm not convinced that is the whole problem...but then I am only female! They are back at 8am this morning to change it. Time will tell...... ! Looks like rain this morning now too!

That's good news tiggerpud, hope you generate loads now :T

Still waiting for EDF to sort my FIT's payments out, heard they take forever. I've raked up 230+ kWh so far, dare say i'm not gonna get paid for any of them :(

Hope the sun shines extra for you after your problems :)

Neither am I. Depending on your system output the 3000 may be a better choice, at least that is what my supplier said. What is the rated output of your 18 panels?

Yes, they swapped it to a Shucko 3300 inverter - apparently an SMA one rebranded by Shucko.

So far today have generated 13.58Kwh today so that seems fine to me (but please correct me if I'm wrong).

We have 18 x 215w Shucko panels (I'm probably spelling that wrong but I'm sure you know what make I mean!)

I do wonder if the other inverter was faulty - nothing else was touched this morning and it all sprung into life as soon as he put the 3300 model on.....

could have been it the panels were incorrectly connected to the old inverter ?

For a 3.7 kW system the SB3000 does seem a bit on the small side. My 3.2 kW system with an SB3000 scored within a whisker of 20 kWh today - it's still struggling on now. Pity the early hours were misty, I was hoping to break that elusive 20 barrier.

May I ask how much was the installation?

I have a quote for 12K for 4Kw and same spec as yours.

    Much appreciated.
