I saw a poster in HMV today, their Game Reward card scheme is finishing on the 12th September. According to the poster you can earn and redeem points until that day.

You have to have at least 1000 points (worth £5) to be able to redeem them. So get redeeming if you were saving any points. Think of all those points that will go unredeemed.

There was also a note on the poster about them introducing a pre-owned game scheme, and the assistant behind the counter thought they may be introducing a store wide loyalty scheme. So I guess we have to wait and see.

Went in to my local HMV store the other day to get a HMV student discount card as they have stopped simply accepting the NUS Extra Card, only to find out that they only issue them in the Megastores in London, Manchester etc!!!!

Just wondering if anyone has a HMV student card I could use, or if anyone could simply pick me one up instore if it is convenient because I can't get to the Megastores to get my card myself.

I think it is just a case of entering the HMV Student Card Number into the website, however I am not sure if that card number is then stored against the account?

I was in my local HMV yesterday and said they wont have them till after freshers week. Got my Zavvi one no problem though
