Has my mortgage application been approved?

The woman in the bank said that i have passed the affordability and credit screening and all that remains now is for me to pay for the survey on the property I am buying. Providing that survey goes well, does that mean my mortgage application has been approved or is there something else that can go wrong?

Doesn't look like anything has gone wrong so far so I wouldn't worry too much. You will know when your mortgage is approved when you get your formal mortgage offer. And you may need to send in bank statements, proof of earnings if your haven't done this already.0

Yep, we've had similar problems with YBS - although I'm still awaiting a response from their underwriters after I sent in my dividend voucher. For some reason, they seem to think only salaried/non-salaried directors get dividend payments; my being a shareholder but just a standard employee doesn't seem to compute with their systems..0
