Is it acceptable and advisable to email the statute barred letter to DCA by email?

You can send it that way if you want.
Personally, I prefer to send it by post so that you get an actual signature upon delivery. I never really trust electronic proof of receipt/reading.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Apart from delivery, is there any other dissadvantage?0

Well..........
1) You want proof they have been informed that the debt is statute barred. I'd say that is better by post, but some may disagree?
2) I've also arrived at the conclusion over time that it seems a DCA is more likely to take notice of a recorded delivery letter?
Up to you though.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

By email would quite likely do then trick.
It's just that recorded post is more formal and I get the impression they are less inclined to ignore it.
You could always do both, just to make sure they get it and read it? If it comes by both methods then they would find it harder to ignore.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
